Dinner at North Park - Araneta Center, Cubao
Ultimate Noodles, true to its name, is a dish served in a stone bowl and has everything from Prawn Dumplings to different mushrooms and veggies to choice meat pieces! The soup is thick and blends well with the noodles too.
It kinda felt like we struck gold inside a treasure chest, cause this dish has the variety of tastes and textures you’d only expect to get for a higher price. So this one’s definitely a winner! (Php238)
Egg Custard is North Park’s newest dessert. I’ve been eyeing this each time we pass by the branch and finally I had the chance to taste it! At first I thought the serving was a tad small, but it’s more that enough for us to share because it’s creamier and thicker than the usual leche flan. Mmmm.. such a treat!! (Php78)
BUSOG at MASAYA! Sa uulitin ah. =)
I’m serving ADOBO at my restaurant! (^^,)
Nakakatuwa namang makita ito..
Oh no, Nag-crave ako bigla ng adobo!! haha.
6 November 2010, Saturday
Before finally going home, we went to The Chocolate Kiss Cafe at Scout Tobias Street QC. It wasn’t planned, i just craved for cake, that’s all. haha.
Ronn ordered the BBQ Sandwich while i chose the Garlic & Mushroom Pasta. Both plates were great, we loved how the meat in the sandwich was well marinated and the pasta had a bit of a kick.
We ordered the Chocolate Kiss Suite for dessert since i couldn’t choose only one. We tried the Dayap Chiffon, Carrot and of course Devil’s Food. SARAP!
This has been the best Saturday we’ve had in a very long time.
The family recently went to Puncan, Nueva Ecija to visit the folks and pay our respects to our late Lolo Yani. Part of the child in me came back that weekend and i’m so happy for our youngest brother, Uno, who enjoyed his first visit to the province.
We ate Tilapia, Tinapa, Arroz Caldo with native chicken, lots of sweet native corn and much more. Here’s how one corn looked like -well, at least before i ate it. haha. Some of its kernels weren’t able to mature, see?
I’d choose this one over the cultured kind any day. *nomnom*
wah, gusto ko ng SISIG! ngayon na! *nomnom*
A platter of sisig never fails to make my day <3
My first Mozu experience was way back in 2010, if i remember correctly. haha. Pictures above were from my first lunch out with friends from work.
Love their menu, but it was their Bistek Tagalog that won me over! The serving’s just right - that’s coming from a growing kid such as myself - but it actually doesn’t hurt to order extra rice once in a while. :)
I also love their Lechon Laing (not pictured), two of the best tasting viands in one dish! What more can you ask for?
See those big rings of sweet onion?! Well that’s just a garnish for their tasty Calamares but I love ‘em anyway. The sauce for this starter will keep you coming back for sure.
Their cakes are really good too! Should be good since they charge corkage if you bring your own (say a custom cake for a friend’s birthday lunch out).
Great ambiance too, for lunch or a few drinks with friends after dinner. One thing I would note though, their serving time takes a bit longer than what they’d tell you.
Still a thumbs up for food taste and serving sizes. All reasonably priced too! See their complete menu:
MR CHOW at 1/F SM North Edsa, just across Hypermarket
We love to dine at Mr. Chow because of their 98-peso Unlimited Chow Fan Meals! Love the Chicken Noodle Soup and Pork Siomai too! *nomnom*
to have fruit and nut flavored chips… I mean, chips are supposedly salty, right? or if not, cheesy or barbecue flavored. But while we were strolling around the supermarket earlier to look for something to munch on while watching a movie, Elie, Jon and I came across Pringles fruit and nut…
Haw Flakes
What it is: Those yummy tart discs of a Chinese fruit called hawthorn. It comes in rolls of seventeen discs.
Why we loved it: We used to play first communion with them with everyone taking turns being the “priest” and receiver of the haw flakes. And it was impossible to just…
i shall now check our fridge for leftovers. (^^,)
I’m currently in the I Have Cheese phase of this cycle.
7.10.2010: Oh yes, more happy hormones! (^^,)
He’s making me fatter by the second.. i love it! haha.
